Oh, The Depth

(A study/comparison of similar verses)
The fear of the Lord is the beginning
of knowledge, but fools despise
wisdom and instruction.

But grow in the grace and knowledge
of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To
him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
2 Peter 3:18

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God,
who gives to all liberally and without reproach,
and it will be given to him.
James 1:5

For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do
not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be
filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom
and spiritual understanding; that you may walk
worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being
fruitful in every good work and increasing
in the knowledge of God...

but as wise
, redeeming the time, because the days

understand what the will of the Lord is
.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom,
teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and
hymns and spiritual songs, singing with
grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Wisdom And Understanding

To do evil is like sport to a fool, but
a man of understanding has wisdom.

Proverbs 10:23

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should
ask God,
who gives generously to all without
finding fault, and it will be given to you.
James 1:5

He who is slow to wrath has great understanding,
but he who is impulsive exalts folly.
Proverbs 14:29

So that you incline your ear to wisdom, and apply
your heart to understanding; yes, if you cry out for
discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding,
if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for
hidden treasures; then you will understand the fear
of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.

Proverbs 2:2-5
