GOD'S PLAN FOR A STRONG FAMILY IS
Serve The Lord.

Heavenly Father, please help married couples to
realize, that without You and Your foundation,
their marriages and their children will be at greater
risk of failing.  Please help men and women to be
faithful to their own wives and husbands.  Help us
to train up our children in the way they should go.
Lord God, so many American families are sick,
and I pray You will draw us back to a place,
that America is standing in Your will, again.
In Jesus' name,
Amen

GOD'S PLAN FOR A STRONG NATION IS
"If My People" Will Be Humble, Pray, Seek, And
Turn, He Will Hear, Forgive And Heal Their Land.

Lord, thank You for laying it out, for giving us
"the way" to strong families and strong nations.
Please help American families to understand this,
and act on this.  Heal our families and our nation.
In Jesus' name,
Amen

STRONG FAMILIES = A STRONG NATION (America)
The American family is in trouble, and most of us would agree that our nation is in trouble.  Only God can cure what ails America, and He can use us in the process.  Are we willing?

HAVE YOU HEARD THESE BITS OF WISDOM?
1. As the family goes, so goes the nation.
2.The best thing a father can do for his kids is to love and respect their mother.  And of course, the reverse of this is also true.
3.The family, who prays together stays together.

TO BUILD A STRONG FAMILY, WE MUST COMMIT OURSELVES:
To stay close to the Lord.
To be faithful to our spouse and kids.
To "show" our kids how to love and respect their future spouse.
To be truthful and honorable in all we do, and teach our children to do the same.
To be a comfort and encouragement to our family members.
To spend time together as a family.
To make our homes a safe and secure place from the world.

SCRIPTURES FOR A STRONG CHRISTIAN FAMILY:
"But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."  Joshua 24:15

".....‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”  Matthew 19:5 & 6

"Children are a heritage from the Lord,  offspring a reward from him."  Psalm 127:3

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6

SCRIPTURES FOR A STRONG NATION:
"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people."  Proverbs 14:34

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance."  Psalm 33:12

"And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?"   Deuteronomy 10:12-13   (Israel is mentioned, but would this not apply to America?)

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."  2 Chronicles 7:14     This is God's instructions for healing our nation.

HEAVENLY FATHER, please help me to love and respect my spouse and kids..  And most of all, help me to put YOU first in my life.  Help me walk the talk.  LORD, please forgive me, when I fail You.  Please heal families and heal our nation.

In Jesus' name,
AMEN

  2. Debbie, thank you so much for the sweet comment. It is so nice to hear from you and know that you are happy and things are going well. God is faithful. As our son-in-law says, "God is good all the time." Do take care of yourself. Love you, too.

  4. Thank you! Do you remember the 40 days of prayer, that our church had last year? The church members wrote the devotionals for the booklet. This is one of the two, that I wrote for it. I decided to use it here.
