Beware Of Covetousness

Therefore put to death your members which
are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion,
evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
Colossians 3:5

 

For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person,
nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any
inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
Ephesians 5:5

 

“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not
covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant,
his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”
Exodus 20:17

 

The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You
shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,”
and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in
this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
